Rare factory press Murciélago LP 650-4 Roadster with single-family ownership set for Amelia Auction 2026.
A highly significant 2010 Lamborghini Murciélago LP 650-4 Roadster is scheduled to be offered at the Amelia Auction in 2026 through Broad Arrow Auctions, carrying an estimate of $450,000 to $550,000. Produced in extremely limited numbers, the LP 650-4 Roadster represents one of the final and most powerful evolutions of Lamborghini’s flagship Murciélago line.

Introduced following the success of the LP 640-4 Roadster, the LP 650-4 marked a notable performance upgrade. Its enlarged 6.5-liter V12 engine produced 641 horsepower and 487 lb-ft of torque, paired with the six-speed e-Gear automated transmission. While top speed remained unchanged at 205 mph, acceleration improved significantly, with the roadster capable of reaching 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. Lamborghini limited production to just 50 examples worldwide, all finished in Grigio Telesto with Arancio accents and a Nero Alcantara interior.

This particular example holds special distinction as the factory press car used to promote the LP 650-4 Roadster program. Designated number 00 of 50, it served as Lamborghini’s official marketing vehicle for the limited-edition model. It is also believed to be among the last vehicles officially tested by longtime Lamborghini test driver and brand ambassador Valentino Balboni, whose signature appears on the inside of the front hood.
The car is heavily optioned, featuring carbon ceramic brakes, 18-inch Hermera wheels, carbon fiber trim, and a Kenwood head unit with navigation and backup camera. It was purchased directly from the factory in 2009 by the consignor’s father and has remained in single-family ownership since new.

During its ownership, the Murciélago was actively enjoyed rather than stored, participating in multiple European supercar tours. Notably, it took part in the Grande Giro, Lamborghini’s 50th Anniversary rally held in Italy in 2013, traveling from Milan to Sant’Agata Bolognese.
A clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report reflects consistent maintenance throughout its life. In December 2025, the car received a comprehensive engine-out service that included a new clutch, spark plugs, and full fluid replacement. At the time of cataloging, the Murciélago shows 24,605 miles. It is offered with its books, soft top, and extensive documentation, including photos from its touring history.

As the original factory marketing example of one of Lamborghini’s most exclusive Murciélago variants, this LP 650-4 Roadster stands out as a rare blend of provenance, performance, and documented use, heading to auction as a centerpiece-level modern supercar. See it here.
