One-of-a-kind Cadillac convertible with verified Disney and Barbie history heads to auction with no reserve August 1–7.
A one-of-a-kind piece of entertainment history is going under the hammer. A 1970 Cadillac DeVille convertible once owned and operated by Walt Disney World—serving as both Cruella de Vil’s villain-mobile and Barbie’s official parade car—will be offered with no reserve from August 1–7 on eBay.
This is not a replica or themed tribute. The Cadillac is the only known vehicle officially documented by both Walt Disney World and Mattel as having served dual roles in major Disney parks entertainment. From its time in 101 Dalmatians-themed events to its full transformation into Barbie’s parade convertible, this Cadillac played a starring role in live entertainment seen by millions.
Originally painted black and white to embody the infamous Cruella de Vil, the deVille made its debut in Walt Disney World parades beginning in 1990. It was later repainted a vibrant Barbie pink and reupholstered in white to fit a more cheerful persona. The car took center stage at EPCOT’s Magical World of Barbie show at the American Gardens Theater and made guest appearances alongside Miss Piggy at Disney-MGM Studios.
Its legacy is backed by verifiable documentation, including original Florida registration naming Walt Disney World as owner, a VIN-matching vehicle pass for a 1998 Barbie event at the Magic Kingdom, and production correspondence from Disney staff.
