They say real Jeeps are built, and this one certainly is.
One of the hottest off-road vehicles out there is the Jeep Gladiator, the Jeep truck everyone has been waiting decades to emerge. While not perfect, it certainly offers a tremendous platform for what Jeep owners like to do most: build something even better. That’s exactly what we have here with this particular Gladiator Rubicon, a truck that could become your weekend fun toy or even an epic overland machine.
First off, nobody should complain about this Jeep being underpowered. It got a nice heart transplant and is now rocking a 6.2-liter LS3 V8, so there’s plenty of horsepower and torque to pull through all kinds of conditions or cruise comfortably on the highway.
The performance-oriented modifications are many. This truck was definitely built with some serious trail runs in mind, evidenced by additions like Rock Slide Engineering electronic power step sliders, EVO Manufacturing HD adjustable track bars for the front and rear, EVO Manufacturing 4.5-inch Fusion coilovers with King coilovers up front, EVO Manufacturing 4.5-inch coil springs with King 2.5-inch remote reservoir shocks on the rear, beefy Yokohama Geolandar X-MT tires, and American Force 20x10 Bama beadlock wheels.
When overlanding, you need to bring along the right gear. The EVO Manufacturing mid cab bed rack makes that possible. Hi-Lift storage cases and Undercover swing storage cases also help, plus they’ll keep your stuff dry and dust-free. RotopaX fuel containers are also a necessity when you venture far away from civilization. An Overland Delta rooftop tent helps you sleep up and away from wildlife.
There’s plenty of lighting for the trail or campsite, like underbody rock lighting, roof- and A-pillar-mounted KC lights, and Diode Dynamics LED rear lights. To manage that and other onboard electronics, like the Warn winch, there’s an sPod 4x4 control system.
This black 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon has been customized with red highlights, keeping it looking mean and capable. If you want a shot at getting this thoroughly-built JT, contact the dealer handling its sale, Classic Car Liquidators.
