A fully restored 1957 Chevrolet 3600 pickup is drawing attention for its blend of vintage design and modern customization, highlighting the enduring appeal of Chevrolet’s Task Force truck lineup. Now available for $31,900, the vehicle represents a reimagined take on one of the most recognizable trucks of the late 1950s.

Originally part of Chevrolet’s Task Force series produced between 1955 and 1959, the 1957 model marked a period of transition for the brand’s truck design. These vehicles introduced more refined styling, improved comfort, and enhanced drivability compared to earlier generations. The 1957 edition, in particular, stood out for its bold front-end appearance and distinctive grille, features that continue to attract collectors and builders.
This specific 3600 model has undergone a comprehensive frame-off restoration that began in 2012 and concluded in 2021. Since completion, the truck has logged just 69 miles. Under the hood, it is powered by a 400 cubic inch V8 engine, rebuilt in 2014, paired with a TH350 automatic transmission. The build emphasizes both performance and usability, with upgrades aimed at modern driving expectations.

Key mechanical enhancements include a Mustang II power rack and pinion front suspension, designed to improve handling, along with a relocated fuel tank positioned beneath the rear bed. The truck also features a dual exhaust system fitted with Flowmaster mufflers, contributing to both performance and sound.
Inside, the cabin has been updated with a clean gray interior, new wiring, modern gauges, and a tilt steering column. Additional amenities such as a Vintage Air heater, aftermarket audio system, and integrated kill switch reflect a focus on comfort and functionality. The truck’s exterior is finished in a Rat Rod Black paint scheme accented by flame detailing, while the bed features an oak wood finish.

With its lowered stance supported by rear air shocks and a mix of classic and modern elements, the restored 1957 Chevrolet 3600 demonstrates how vintage trucks continue to serve as a foundation for custom automotive craftsmanship. See it here.
