GAA offers winning bidder choice of one among three rare Ford GTs, including ultra-low-mileage and collector-grade examples.

GAA Classic Car Auctions is bringing back its popular “Bidder’s Choice” format this July, offering collectors a rare chance to take home one of three highly sought-after Ford GTs from the 2005–2006 production run. The twist? Only one car will be sold — and it’s the winning bidder who gets to choose.

The cars, presented as lots ST0079.2, ST0079.3, and ST0079.4, will cross the block as a single unit during Saturday’s auction session. Each GT represents a unique slice of Ford’s modern performance legacy, from ultra-low-mileage preservation pieces to lightly modified drivers.

Ford GT #1 (VIN: 1FAFP90S76Y402027) is a 2006 model finished in red over ebony leather with just 1,200 miles on the odometer. It features several performance upgrades including a Whipple supercharger and Accufab throttle body, enhancing its hand-built 5.4-liter supercharged V8. Additional highlights include a Ricardo 6-speed manual transmission, BBS lightweight wheels, and a race-bred suspension setup.

Ford GT #2 (VIN: 1FAFP90S36Y401960), also a 2006 model, may be the crown jewel for collectors. With only 13 miles since new, this Centennial White example is one of just 200 built for the Canadian market and one of only 222 produced in this color for the model year. It comes fully documented with the original window sticker, bill of sale, and owner’s manuals. Optioned with racing stripes, BBS wheels, and painted calipers, it remains in delivery-fresh condition.

Ford GT #3 (VIN: 1FAFP90S45Y401903) is a 2005 model in Midnight Blue with white racing stripes. With 3,600 miles on the clock, it includes a McIntosh audio system, gray Brembo calipers, and full documentation including a Ford production certificate. This example retains its factory setup and presents as a well-preserved and highly optioned original.

All three GTs share the hallmark features of the first-generation Ford GT — a 5.4-liter supercharged DOHC V8, aluminum space frame, and aerodynamic underbody — inspired by the iconic GT40 race cars of the 1960s.

“This is a truly unique opportunity,” GAA said in a statement. “Whether a bidder is drawn to performance upgrades, museum-level preservation, or period-correct originality, this format lets them choose the car that best fits their goals.”

With bidding expected to be competitive, the “Bidder’s Choice” GT trio may become one of the marquee moments of GAA’s July 2025 auction lineup.
