A factory-built 1991 Porsche 911 Carrera Cup with decades of documented competition history is being offered for sale in Germany, carrying an estimate of €130,000 to €160,000 and presented without reserve. Chassis WP0ZZZ96ZMS409092 is confirmed by factory records as a genuine Carrera 2 Cup model, identified by option code M700, and represents Porsche’s early commitment to customer-focused one-make racing.

The car was originally completed in February 1991 in the period-correct Maritime Blue color and equipped from new with a leather steering wheel and limited-slip differential. It is believed to have competed in the French Porsche Cup series between 1991 and 1993, during which time its exterior was reportedly repainted Grand Prix White. Documented ownership begins in 1995, when it was issued a German Fahrzeugbrief, followed by a series of German owners.

By the mid-2000s, the Carrera Cup was actively competing again. Records from its DMSB Wagenpass show the car participating in ADAC-sanctioned events at Zolder and Spa before entering long-term ownership in September 2006. After a brief hiatus, the car returned to regular competition from 2011 through 2017, running six consecutive seasons in the Spezial Tourenwagen Trophy and Porsche Club Historic Challenge. During that time, it competed at circuits including the Nürburgring, Hockenheim, Monza, Assen, Oschersleben, Salzburgring, and Spa.

Mechanical preparation and ongoing support were handled by Irmgartz Motorsport of Neuwied, Germany, with service invoices documenting more than €60,000 in work since 2006. That work included three engine rebuilds, upgraded Bilstein PSS9 suspension, a dual-flow race exhaust, and lightweight body panels. The 3.6-liter flat-six is reported to produce 315 PS, a significant increase over its original output, while curb weight is listed at 1,060 kilograms.

Despite its race-ready configuration, the car retains road registration in Germany and carries a valid TÜV inspection through 2027. It is offered with 32,719 original kilometers and an extensive spares package, including an original first-series Carrera Cup engine, original exhaust components, suspension parts, multiple wheel sets, and factory documentation. Viewing is available by appointment in Verl, Germany, with a 10 percent buyer’s premium plus VAT applied to the hammer price. See it here.
