A 1970 Porsche 911S coupe offered from the estate of renowned Porsche master mechanic David Glenn has drawn notable attention as bidding approaches its scheduled close. The no-reserve listing, part of a larger group of more than 70 items from Glenn’s workshop and personal collection, has reached $25,000 with 19 bids and more than 5,800 views. The car is located in Savannah, Georgia, with the auction concluding on Friday, Dec. 12, at 3 p.m. EST for $69,550.

Glenn’s legacy spans five decades of high-level Porsche engine development, including work for Kremer Racing, RUF Automobile and Porsche Motorsport North America. His workshop—long regarded as a reflection of his meticulous approach—forms the backbone of this extensive sale, which ranges from engines and gearboxes to specialty tools, equipment and project cars. Preview appointments began Oct. 20, 2025, at Hagerty Garage + Social Savannah.

Among the featured offerings is this 1970 911S coupe, a non-sunroof example originally finished in Light Yellow over black leatherette. The car is presented as a restoration project and includes several period-correct components that add to its appeal. Accompanying the shell is a matching-type 911S transmission, early 911 Comfort Seats with bases, two engine core halves stored in wooden crates, and an engine case marked 6301511. A second engine case with the same number is included, though it remains unclear whether either case is original to the car—a detail that adds an unusual element to the project.
Additional parts arrive in a brown box and a rolling rack filled with miscellaneous hardware. The completeness of the components is not verified, and prospective buyers are encouraged to review the photo gallery or inspect the items in person.
