Volo Museum Marks 65 Years With Free Giveaway of a Classic Movie Car

The Volo Museum is celebrating its 65th anniversary by giving away a piece of both Hollywood and automotive history: a 1960 Buick LeSabre featured in the 1983 film Right of Way.

See details here.

The giveaway, which is 100% free to enter, is open now to U.S. residents age 18 and older. Entries close Thursday, Dec. 18, with the winner set to be announced Dec. 19. No purchase is required, and entries are limited to one per person.

The car at the center of the celebration is more than just a classic cruiser. The 1960 Buick LeSabre appeared on screen alongside legendary actors Jimmy Stewart and Bette Davis in Right of Way, giving it a place in film history as well as automotive lore.

Founded in 1960 as a small family resale operation, the Volo Museum has grown into a 75-acre destination known worldwide for its movie cars, rare classics, and immersive exhibits. Today, it also operates one of the oldest and largest classic collector car dealerships in the United States. Despite its scale and reputation, the museum remains a multi-generational, family-owned business built entirely through reinvestment and community support, without grants, sponsors, or government funding.

Over the past five years, the museum has undergone a multi-million-dollar transformation, expanding its exhibits, restoring historic vehicles, and enhancing the visitor experience. Each addition reflects decades of public support and the Grams family’s long-term commitment to preservation and storytelling through automobiles.

The giveaway Buick carries special meaning for the museum and its owners. Acquired by the Grams family in 1999 as part of the museum’s growing movie car collection, the LeSabre represents the same model year in which the family’s journey began.

“The 1960 Buick symbolizes both sides of Volo—the classic car dealership and the movie car history that defines our museum,” said Brian Grams, co-owner and museum director. “It’s not just a beautiful collector car; it’s a piece of our family story and a piece of American history.”

The museum says the giveaway is meant as a thank-you to the generations of visitors who helped shape Volo into what it is today, while also looking ahead to the next chapter.
