Low-Mileage 2007 Roush 427R Mustang Gains Attention on Hagerty Marketplace

A 2007 Ford Mustang Roush 427R coupe with exceptionally low mileage is drawing significant attention as bidding continues in an online auction based in O’Fallon, Illinois. With six days remaining before the sale closes, the current high bid has reached $15,000, supported by strong engagement and more than 5,500 views.

The Roush 427R represents one of the most aggressive performance upgrades offered during the mid-2000s Mustang revival. Built on the S197 platform, the model was positioned as the top-tier offering from Roush Performance Products in 2007, surpassing the earlier Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3 variants in both styling and performance.

At the heart of the 427R is a supercharged and intercooled 4.6-liter V8 engine, factory-rated at 427 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque. Enhanced with additional engine management tuning and a high-flow exhaust system, the powertrain delivers strong acceleration, including a zero-to-60 mph time of around five seconds and quarter-mile performance in the low 13-second range. This example is equipped with a five-speed manual transmission and a Roush short-throw shifter, emphasizing its driver-focused character.

The exterior stands out with Grabber Orange paint accented by white racing stripes, complemented by a full Roush aerodynamic package. Features include a revised front fascia, chin spoiler, hood scoop, and rear spoiler, along with signature badging and 18-inch chrome Roush wheels. Additional visual elements such as quarter window louvers further enhance its distinctive appearance.

Inside, the Mustang features black leather upholstery with optional upgrades including sport seats, white-faced gauges, and carbon fiber-style trim. Despite its performance focus, the cabin retains comfort-oriented touches, balancing everyday usability with sporty design.

With approximately 6,100 miles on the odometer, the vehicle presents as a well-preserved example of a limited-production performance model. It is offered by Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis and includes a clean CARFAX report and a Missouri title. Service records note routine oil and filter changes in recent years.

The vehicle’s history traces ownership through Pennsylvania and Missouri. Minor cosmetic wear, including paint chips on the front, has been noted. As bidding progresses, the Roush 427R continues to appeal to collectors seeking a rare, low-mileage performance Mustang from the early 21st century. See it here.
