Ferrari Purosangue Gets Subtle Carbon Fiber Makeover as Performance Future Looms

Ferrari’s Purosangue continues to blur traditional automotive categories, and now aftermarket tuners are beginning to shape its next chapter. While Ferrari avoids labeling the model as an SUV, instead calling it a Ferrari Utility Vehicle, its four-door layout and elevated ride height have naturally drawn interest from customization specialists.

One of the latest interpretations comes from DarwinPro Aero, which has introduced a carbon fiber package designed to enhance the Purosangue without dramatically altering its identity. Rather than pursuing an aggressive redesign, the kit focuses on subtle aerodynamic improvements that complement the vehicle’s original proportions.

The Purosangue already stands apart from typical luxury SUVs with its long hood, compact cabin, and hatchback-like profile. DarwinPro’s approach builds on that foundation by adding a front splitter, extended side skirts, a rear diffuser, and a functional roof wing. These elements are crafted from carbon fiber and aim to refine airflow while sharpening the vehicle’s visual presence.

The showcased example features a gray exterior paired with black accents and exposed carbon fiber details. Five-spoke wheels and yellow brake calipers provide contrast, reinforcing a restrained yet performance-oriented aesthetic. The overall effect enhances the Purosangue’s stance without overshadowing Ferrari’s original design intent.

Mechanically, the vehicle remains unchanged. The naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine continues to deliver 715 horsepower and 528 lb-ft of torque. Performance figures remain impressive, with acceleration to 62 mph in approximately 3.3 seconds and a top speed near 217 mph.

Looking ahead, Ferrari is expected to expand the Purosangue lineup with a more focused variant. Production of this updated version could begin in the second half of the year, with anticipated changes centered on handling improvements rather than increased power. Potential upgrades may include chassis refinements and weight reduction measures to enhance driving dynamics.

Until then, aftermarket options like DarwinPro’s kit offer owners a way to personalize their vehicles while maintaining the core characteristics that define Ferrari’s first four-door model.
