Built at Pontiac's Fremont, California plant in the first week of February 1969, it pairs one of the decade's warmest color combinations with the kind of paper trail that turns a good-looking Goat into a well-understood one.
Classic Goat Hardware
Power comes from a 400ci V8 backed by a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 automatic, which is exactly the combination most buyers want when the goal is driving the car rather than babying it. The 400 delivers its torque early and often, and the Turbo 400 is one of the toughest automatics GM ever built, so this is a GTO that can be enjoyed on real roads without drama.
