1996 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Heads to Auction With Low Miles and Full Documentation

A 1996 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport coupe commemorating the final year of C4 production is being offered through a live online auction, with bidding set to run for seven days under a hidden reserve. The car shows approximately 18,000 miles and is presented with documentation that includes the original window sticker, owner’s manual, accessories, and a damage-free vehicle history report.

Chevrolet produced 810 Grand Sport coupes for the 1996 model year, positioning the model as a sendoff for the fourth-generation Corvette. This example is powered by the 5.7-liter LT4 V8, factory rated at 330 horsepower and 340 pound-feet of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a ZF six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.

The exterior follows the Grand Sport formula used exclusively for the C4 finale. All examples were finished in Admiral Blue Metallic, accented by a white center stripe and red hash marks over the left-front wheel. Additional exterior features include a body-color removable roof panel, pop-up headlights, integrated fog lights, quad taillights, and rear wheel arch extensions unique to the Grand Sport coupe. The car rides on factory 17-inch black five-spoke alloy wheels fitted with Goodyear Eagle GS-C tires. Traction control and four-wheel ventilated disc brakes with ABS are also included.

Inside, the cabin is trimmed in black leather with power-adjustable bucket seats featuring red Grand Sport embroidery on the headrests. Interior equipment includes automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows and locks, and a Delco-Bose Gold Series audio system with CD and cassette capability. The driver faces a two-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel and an instrument cluster combining a central digital speedometer with analog gauges for engine and system monitoring. The digital odometer displays approximately 18,000 miles.

According to the window sticker, the car was originally delivered to an owner in Chicago, Illinois, and carried a total vehicle price of $44,544 when new. The Grand Sport is being offered through auction without a listed price, reflecting its reserve-based format. Financing, shipping assistance, and pre-purchase inspections are available, though the vehicle is sold as-is.
