For 1959, Chevrolet refined the Corvette's styling by removing the faux hood louvers and ornate trunk trim that had cluttered earlier C1s, giving the car a cleaner, more purposeful look. Engineers also added radius rods to control rear axle hop and introduced a T-handle reverse lock-out for the four-speed manual, small changes that made a noticeable difference in how the car drove.

This particular 1959 model, listed on Hagerty Marketplace, pairs a 283ci V8 with a Borg Warner T-10 four-speed manual and has been upgraded with an aftermarket four-barrel carburetor sitting atop an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold. Finished in black with silver coves over a red interior, it wears the quadruple headlights, split chrome bumpers, and removable hardtop that define the C1's final form.

The seller, who has owned the car since July 2021, notes the carburetor and brakes have been serviced during their ownership. Cosmetic imperfections include a cracked windshield, some spider webbing in the paint on the roof, worn carpeting, and broken trim on the aftermarket cassette stereo, all disclosed upfront for bidders doing their due diligence. The car comes with a clean Montana title in the seller's name.

Bidding is live now, with the auction closing on July 22. View the full listing and place a bid here.
