RM Sotheby’s up and coming Fort Lauderdale auction is packed full of ‘must have’ classic and collector cars. Amongst these impressive four-wheeled stars, set to cross the auction block on March 29-30, 2019, are 17 prestigious vehicles from the Belle Meade Collection.

Ranging from a pristine Pontiac Trans Am to a legendary 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500, these star cars are sure to attract international attention — especially as many are being offered without reserve.

Here’s the full allocation of Belle Meade cars set to go under the hammer.

1971 Mercedes-Benz 280 SE 3.5 Coupe

This regal Mercedes-Benz 280 is a real treat with its 3.5-liter V8 engine and luxurious wood-trimmed cabin. Lot 3138 features a blue and white two-tone exterior combination that makes it stand out amongst its contemporaries.

The Mercedes has an estimate of $90,000 - $110,000.

1977 Cadillac Seville

Not the most glamorous car of the pack, but this 1977 Cadillac Seville appears perfectly preserved. Its white exterior houses a vibrant red leather interior with plenty of luxuries to keep occupants happy.

The car’s 350 cubic-inch V8 engine has clocked just 26,400 miles from new, making this a good opportunity for a Cadillac collector.

Place a bid and you might even get this Seville at a bargain price, as the car is being offered without reserve.

1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28

Another car being offered without reserve is this handsome green Camaro Z/28. Its muscular looks are backed up by a 290-horsepower, 302 cubic-inch V8 engine that drives the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.

This Chevy has benefitted from a ‘rotisserie restoration’ that promotes an almost factory fresh feel.

1970 Jaguar E-Type Series 2 4.2-Liter Fixed Head Coupe

One of two Jaguar E-Types in this collection, this restored 1970 example was originally sold though British Leyland Motors Inc. of New York when new. Its British-built 4.2-liter inline six-cylinder engine is in fine fettle, making this Series 2 car perfect for a Sunday drive as well as display.

RM Sotheby’s estimate is $50,000 - $60,000, but the Jag is being offered without reserve.

1974 Pontiac Trans Am

This white Trans Am is a magnificent example of the era, and sports a stunning blue vinyl interior. It is one of 943 Super Duty Trans Ams produced in 1974, with this ‘X-Code’ car benefiting from a frame-up restoration.

RM reckons $40,000 - $60,000 will be the final price, but this Pontiac has no reserve.

1974 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible

What a fantastic example of a convertible Stingray! Its repainted Mille Miglia Red finish and contrasting white soft top brings even more glamour to this well known American machine. It comes complete with a luggage rack and hard top, meaning that it can be enjoyed in all weathers.

Offered without reserve, the car’s estimate is $20,000 - $25,000.

1970 Dodge Dart Swinger

This numbers matching Dodge Dart Swinger hides a 340 cubic-inch V8 engine under those prominent hood nostrils. It has covered over 61,000 miles but appears very well preserved.

The no reserve car (with an estimated value of $25,000 - $35,000) comes with its original owner’s manual and broadcast sheet.

1967 Shelby GT500

This Shelby GT500 is undoubtedly one of the stars of this collection. Rotisserie restored in the 1990s, it looks sublime finished in Brittany Blue with White Le Mans stripes.

Plenty of attention to detail has gone into this car, with period correct Goodyear tires fitted and its history discovered in the SAAC Registry.

If you want to take this 428 cubic-inch V8 beauty home, RM thinks it will take $105,000 - $125,000.

1981 DeLorean DMC-12

This no reserve DeLorean could be your ticket back to the future at this auction. Joking aside, it appears that this car might just be capable of time travel as the 1980s movie icon has less than 4,200 miles on it. Sweetening the deal further is that this is a rare manual example of the gullwing classic.

Its estimate is penned at $40,000 - $50,000.

2016 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible

Looking for something to accompany your classic Stingray purchase? This no reserve modern-day American sports car might do the trick. Since 2016 it has only covered 1,300 miles, meaning that it has only really just been run-in.

If you want to drive home in this 455hp sports car, it’ll likely cost you $60,000 - $70,000.

1970 Chevrolet Malibu SS 396 Sport Coupe

Coming with its original owner’s manual and build sheet, this ‘big-block’ Malibu SS ticks all the boxes for muscle car fans. Distinctive bonnet stripes, manual transmission with Hurst shifter, and period correct Firestone tires.

It’s another no reserve car, but is expected to hammer for $50,000 - $60,000.

1974 Pontiac Trans Am SD-455

Saw the previous Trans Am, but want the full X-Code experience? This example retains its original SD-455 V8 engine and is finished in distinctive Buccaneer red paint. It is one of just 943 Super Duties produced in 1974.

$65,000 - $85,000 should beg you this car, but it also represents a great opportunity for a bargain as it is being auctioned without reserve.

1973 BMW 3.0 CSi Coupe

Another highlight of the Belle Meade Collection, this 1973 BMW 3.0 CSi Coupe has just been restored at a cost of $30,000. It really does look like it just rolled off the production line.

This sought after German coupé has an estimate of $80,000 - $90,000.

1971 Ford Mustang Boss 351

This 330hp Mustang Boss features a 351 cubic-inch V8 engine under its matte black hood. Its four-speed manual transmission comes complete with a Hurst shifter for that real muscle car experience.

It’s a well presented example that is one of 1,806 Boss 351s built for 1971. It is listed as having no reserve, but its estimate is $65,000 - $75,000.

1969 Jaguar E-Type Series 2 4.2-Liter Roadster

The second Jaguar E-Type of the collection is a Roadster model of the same generation, meaning the pair would make for a great addition to any collection.

This fully restored example finished in Primrose Yellow and should be particularly resilient to classic car foibles such as overheating thanks to an upgraded aluminum radiator.

The no reserve Jaguar has an estimate of $65,000 - $75,000.

1969 Plymouth Road Runner Convertible

Being an ‘H-Code’ car, this Road Runner houses a 383 cubic-inch V8 engine, which can be enjoyed alfresco. It retains its original ‘Beep Beep’ Road Runner horn and its power top functions perfectly.

RM thinks this car will sell for $40,000 - $50,000.

1966 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible

This beautiful Nassau Blue with matching blue vinyl interior Stingray is an alluring classic indeed. Another interesting aspect of its specification is that this car has the rare soft top delete option, meaning that its hard top is something of a necessity on a rainy day.

Another car offered without reserve, it has an estimate of $65,000 - $75,000.
