This bus began its life as a 15 Window. It was later transformed into a 23 Split Window with a roof conversion. It is about a 4 year old restoration. The entire body was built from the pan up. You will notice it was properly paired with belly pans to offset the roof conversion as should be done. The entire motor was built from the inside out on an engine stand by Dan Lawson with CE. It was paired with dual weber 40idf carbs and performance heads. The transmission was also overhauled by Dan over at CE and completely rebuilt. Although it may not be an all original German Split Bus, it still has the nostalgia of the iconic 23 Split Window Samba. It is ready to be a daily driver and extremely unique.
