This is basically a factory built race car. Their was way less of the R code 300 models built then the lightweight Galaxie in 1963, 50 of the 300s compared to 200 lightweight galaxies. This is now just one of three R code cars in the 427 Galaxie Registry known to exist still, and one of only 5 300 high performance cars known to exist thats in the registry. This is the earliest known Vin Number for any of those car, and the only one to come from the factory with a 4.11 Rear Gear. This car per the Story we was told that came from past Owners, was that the car was special ordered by Warner Ford in Loveland Ohio, and raced for two straight Season, 1963 and 1964 with a Lightweight front end on it. After the 1964 season, the lightweight front end was taken off the car, and a steel front end replaced it and the car was placed on the used car lot and sold to another racer who raced it a very short time. The car is only showing 1082 miles on it right now, and we believe those miles to be very true, because of the condition of the car and its history. We can not fully validate the Warner Ford Racing History 100%, however we have also found vintage racing pictures of a Red/Red 63 R-Code 300 Racing out of the Memphis TN area during 1963, and we can't say if that is this car or not either. But that is one of a few images found of a Ford 300 racing back in those years and the only Red/Red Car. Very Rare Ford, possible the Rarest Ford we have ever Owned, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to buy a car most people didn't even know existed.
