This 1971 Volkswagen Karmann Beetle Convertible has undergone a full restoration in the late 1990's. The car was completely disassembled with only 19,547 original miles. At the time the Beetle hadn't been driven since 1979 with the inspection sticker still on the windshield. The body was completed stripped and professionally refinished with Glasurit paint system, the German paint company that Volkswagen recommends. The engine, fuel system and brake system has been completely rebuilt by Auto Haus in Salem Ma. The windshield was replaced due to delamination, all other glass and chrome frames, like most parts are original. The dash is completely original with gauges. The new seats, top, and rubber seals were purchased from West Coast Metric. The tires with a spare are from Cooker Tire with correct white walls.
Since restoration this VW has been driven less than 2,000 miles, currently with 21,380 original miles. Owned by a retired VW mechanic this car was properly restored and has been kept and maintained exceptionally well. This 1971 Volkswagen Beetle is in very good condition and a must see by any VW collector.
