If there is one car that can be pegged for the creation of the supercar category, that would be the Lamborghini Miura. Most enthusiasts will likely never see one of these cars in person, but one can obtain a miniature version of a 1971 Lamborghini Miura P400 SV on a 1:8 scale. The cost of one of these scaled-down replicas by Amalgam Collection costs an astounding $11,995.
While the Lambo 350GT is the first production car by the Italian Automaker, the Miura is the first one to be propelled into supercar stardom with a legacy holding strong over five decades later. Introduced in 1968, the Miura holds down the first supercar title with independent front and rear suspension, insane handling, and a V12 mid-engine topped with dual-choke Weber carburetors that generates 385-horsepower.
Lamborghini played a role in this scaled-down version of their first supercar making sure that every little detail was accurate. Amalgam Collection's handcrafted 1:8 scale model features working doors and an engine cover that opens up to reveal an insanely detailed mid-engine 4.0-liter V12. This mini model is even painted in Arancio, one of Lamborghini's bright signature colors.
Mounted on carbon fiber or a leather base, each model is presented in a fancy box complete with a dust cover made of clear acrylic. In addition, each one comes with a plaque made of stainless steel on the front with the edition number, model title, and original branding.
These models will be extremely limited with just 199 made. If your significant other is a supercar enthusiast and you have a spare $12k to spend, you may want to hurry up and get your hands on one of these before it is too late. These 1:8 scale Lambo Miura models can be purchased directly from the Amalgam Collection out of Bristol, or it can be found online at select retail sites such as Uncrate.
