Clear Garage Space For This Stunning 1964 Shelby Daytona Coupe

This stunning low-mileage Shelby Daytona coupe is equipped with a Roush 427cui V8 capable of 562-horsepower!

The St. Louis Car Museum is happy to offer the opportunity to own one gorgeous 1964 Shelby Daytona Coupe (CSX9139). This stunning one-owner example was built in 2018 and only has 3,584 miles on the clock. Superformance and Shelby American teamed up to create these kit cars that pay homage to the famous Shelby Daytona that won classes at Sebring and LeMans as well as the World Manufacturing Championship in 1965, a feat that was a first for any American manufacturer. Back in the day, these cars were originally entered into the Grand Touring class with a goal of beating out Ferrari.

Blanketed in PPG Guardsman Blue topped with Wimbledon White stripes and roundels, the body of this Daytona, made of vinylester and glass composite, is in pristine condition. Further complementing its exterior is a set of true 18-inch Shelby replica wheels wrapped with BF Goodrich G-Force Rival tires (245/40 front, 335/30 rear). Other exterior goodies include Carroll Shelby-engraved retracting door handles, aircraft-quality BRE tinted Lexan rear hatch window, BRE color-keyed racing mirrors, front fog lights, and it comes with a rear-mounted BRE mini spare tire by Fikse wrapped with Dunlop rubber.

Powering this Shelby Daytona is a Roush 427cui V8 engine topped with Borla 8-stack fuel injection that produces a pavement-pounding 562 horsepower and 535 ft/lbs of torque. A Tremec T56 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive complete with a hydraulic racing clutch shifts power down to the ground through a 3.46:1 limited-slip differential rear end. An MSD ignition system keeps everything firing up on demand, and a high-performance radiator with dual electric cooling fans keeps engine temperature under control. Playing in symphony with the V8 rumble are heat-wrapped exhaust headers that have been ceramic coated. This Daytona is full of options including power windows and locks, power rack and pinion steering, and Shelby Racing/Wilwood ventilated power disc brakes on all four corners. A 20-gallon stainless steel fuel tank quenches the thirst for fuel. The body sits on a jig-welded tubular steel space frame equipped with front and rear independent suspension as well as custom Bilstein adjustable coil-over shocks and springs.

Peek inside the cockpit to a black leather interior with Alcantara accents, and the seats have been raised 1.5 inches for additional legroom. The car also comes equipped with a full climate control system that includes air conditioning, heat, and defrost. A Kenwood AM/FM/CD/SAT-ready audio system is embedded in the dash and plays your favorite tunes complete with audio input jacks that bump your favorite tunes through Rockford Fosgate speakers. More interior highlights include full Stewart Warner instrumentation, standard 3-point safety belts, ignition immobilizer system, cruise control, and cup holders in the console.

This gem is correctly titled as a 1964 model year Shelby Daytona, and it comes with two sets of keys, a copy of the original Shelby American, Inc. MSO, Roush engine specs and dyno sheet, owner's manual, audio instructions, cruise control manual, spare tire changing tools and equipment, and a Cover King soft indoor storage cover.

If this is the 1964 Shelby Daytona coupe of your dreams, turn that dream into a reality by contacting St. Louis Car Museum today. This gem is listed at $189,900.
