Bid On This Pink 1960 Chrysler 300F Convertible

Forget a pink Cadillac, this pink Chrysler is the high-powered cruiser that you really want.

Each of the original Chrysler letter cars are rare and distinct, but this 1960 Chrysler 300F Convertible stands out even more thanks to its tastefully pink paint job. This unique Chrysler will be up for grabs at the upcoming MAG Auctions event on January 10-12, 2020 in Peoria, Arizona.

Only 248 convertible versions of the 1960 Chrysler 300F were ever produced, and it's hard to imagine any are in better shape than this particular car. This car underwent a full restoration that included stripping the body down to bare metal. Underneath, this 300F was coated in an impact-proof, semi-gloss epoxy to ensure a pristine and long-lasting undercarriage.

The 1960 model year marked a new design language for the 300 starting with a more stylish front end with the headlights now lower in the fenders and redesigned tail fins with boomerang-shaped taillights. This 300F wears Kelsey Hayes wire wheels, but the original hubcaps come with the car. Inside, this powerful luxury convertible offers four leather-bound bucket seats with a full length center console with dual armrests for front and rear passengers. One cool feature about these cars is the front seats, which swivel out to make getting in and out of the car easier.

Of course, the biggest change that came with the introduction of the 1960 Chrysler 300F is the 413 CID Wedge V8 under the hood with dual four-barrel carburetors. Not only did this engine lay down an impressive 375 horsepower, the Cross Ram intake manifold added another cool styling element to the car. This engine is backed by Chrysler's smooth-shifting three-speed Torqueflite automatic transmission.
