This SUV rides slow but it’s definitely not slow.

There’s no denying K5 Blazers are hot property these days, no pun intended. The classic SUVs are legendary. However, if you want to punch things up a few notches or so, this 1969 Chevy Blazer is the restomod of your dreams.

Yes, this vehicle sits low but it’s anything other than slow. That’s because a 402ci big block V8 sits under the hood, working with a Turbo 400 automatic transmission to send that explosive power to the wheels. Of course, to accommodate the lower ride height some other modifications were necessary, like relocating the leaf springs, fabricating an in-frame aluminum fuel tank, tubbing in the rear wheels, and more.

Looks-wise, this Chevrolet is smooth as glass. The paint looks like it was either recently applied or has been meticulously cared for since it was. That pairs excellently with the shaved door handles and absence of any superfluous trim pieces from the factory. The two-tone Pearl White and Orange exterior looks even better with the cowl induction hood, LED taillights, billet grille inserts, and those five-spoke chrome wheels. If you look closely, there’s also some thin pinstriping between the two paint colors, plus on the hood and tailgate for a subtle, fun styling touch.

Like a proper show car, the engine compartment in this Blazer is absolutely spotless. The valve covers, air cleaners, and a few other parts just gleam, making for an excellent presentation.

There’s even more style in the cab, like embossed door panels and seat upholstery, a chrome tilt steering column, and a large tach mounted on the top of the dash. When the weather is nice you can remove the top and feel the breeze. A nice aftermarket sound system makes listening to your tunes literally a blast.

To be honest, not everybody is going to be ok with a restomod Chevy Blazer like this. For those who aren’t purists there’s a lot of good to love. If you want to make this vehicle yours, contact Classic Car Liquidators, which is handling the sale.
