Drive A Survivor 1978 Chevy Blazer

This SUV remains in original condition.

As more people are getting into restoring old Chevy Blazers, finding one that hasn’t been restored or restomodded with an LS3 is getting increasingly difficult. The other common alternative is to find a junk Blazer and painstakingly build it up. That’s why this 1978 Chevrolet Blazer in genuine survivor condition is a rare find worthy of your consideration.

It’s certainly not in showroom condition, thanks to minor cosmetic issues and some minor rust. However, it outshines most other untouched K10 Blazers. The Midnight Black paint shows scratches and other issues you could correct if you so choose, but overall it shines up nicely for its age. All the factory trim pieces are still in place and looking good if not great, including the side markers. 15-inch Chevrolet Rally truck wheels and aggressive Hankook DynaPro MT all terrain tires round out a respectable exterior.

Even amateurs can immediately tell the Red interior is all factory-original. The entire thing screams late 1970s, from the entirely analog gauges to the radio and front bucket seats. The rear bench seat folds, so if you need to transport larger items you have more space. Black rubber floor mats are included, so you can keep that carpeting nice and fresh-looking. The spare tire cover is in place in the cargo area and everything else looks well-preserved.

A 350ci V8 4bl engine provides plenty of power. It works with an automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. The seller says everything runs smoothly. You also get factory air conditioning and tinted glass, which is a nice plus for next summer. Power steering and brakes make handling this truck far easier.

With the value of first-generation K5 Chevrolet Blazers shooting through the roof, It’s not too difficult to see the second-generation K10 Blazers following in the near future. If you want to jump on this unique opportunity and get this vehicle, contact Restore a Muscle Car for purchasing details.
