Get Your Hands On This Spotless 1960 Ford Thunderbird

A car that puts on a great show, and will steal the show too.

Despite it deviating from the original form, it’s safe to say that the first four-seater Thunderbird was a true masterpiece of design. For this reason, Classic Auto Mall is pleased to announce this pristine 1960 Ford Thunderbird for your consideration. This beauty needs no introduction and earned its honor without relying on tech from the era like air suspension, fuel injection, retractable hardtops, and superchargers. Although these were considered, they were rejected. The Thunderbird maintains a clean design with a wildly popular cabin that boasts comfort for everyone (especially the rear seats). It retains its low profile and iconic T-bird roofline all the same. This example has an original 74,183 miles on it, and is in very good show condition. The current asking price is set at $21,900, and you can make an offer on the car right here.

Dressed in a shiny white paint job from 13 years ago, this car is really spotless. Noteworthy new design features include dual eyebrow-covered headlights, a front grille within a big chrome bumper, and a scooped hood. The curved glass windshield out back and hardtop roofline are very reminiscent of the two-seater models. On the rear of this car, you’ll see a slight use of fins that finish off the top of the oval triple taillights. The entire ride sits on 14-inch chromed wire wheels at all four corners.

This Thunderbird boasts its original black leather interior with space-age-style front bucket seats and a curving rear bench. A simple black center console houses the power window switches. As it rises to the dash, a circular airflow and temperature panel is seen below the working AM radio. The dashboard is a dual-eyebrow design in padded black vinyl for the top, and ribbed aluminum for the gauge cluster and glovebox. The original white steering wheel is crack-free and very comfortable. The black carpet is also in nice condition and the floor mats sport the Thunderbird logo on them. Look up and you’ll see a perforated-style tight white headliner.

This '60's beauty is powered by a simple but elegant 352 cubic-inch V8 motor that sits in a very clean engine bay. It is topped with a single four-barrel carburetor and backed up by a three-speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission. For the rear axle, a 9-inch 3.10 gear setup is noted. The undercarriage is all buttoned up with no rust or structural problems. There are clean floor pans, some rustproofing spray, and well-maintained mechanicals as far as the eye can see. This 1960 Ford Thunderbird shifts smoothly and provides a comfortable ride with very little noise getting into the cabin.
