A full frame-off, nut-and-bolt restoration to NCRS Top Flight and Bloomington Gold Standards has ensured this C1 Corvette is impressive all around. The Sateen Silver exterior and chrome trim pieces absolutely gleam in the light. The factory wheels are painted to match, with sharp-looking hubcaps. Even the smallest details like the badges are in excellent condition

Pairing nicely with the exterior is a bold red interior. Both seats, the carpeting, and dash all are in perfect condition. Stock door pulls, window cranks, rearview mirror, and other equipment are all present and operational. The red steering wheel features a polished Corvette emblem in the center, which jumps out amidst all the red. Also included is the factory face clock and AM/FM radio

When you get in the driver’s seat of this convertible, at your command is a 327ci V8 with 300-horsepower. The block and valve covers are painted red, while the air cleaner is polished, as are other components, making for a nice, clean presentation under the hood. A four-speed transmission keeps you in control. You get to monitor everything through the factory tachometer and other gauges.

The final year of the C1 or first generation of the Chevy Corvette, the car went through a few stylistic changes. GM blacked out the grille and only offered single-color paint schemes. Some of the chrome trim was removed and buyers could order different colors for wheels, like on this example. 1962 was also the final year the Corvette had a solid rear axle.

To get your hands on this historically important Corvette, you can register to bid on it through GAA Classic Cars.
