This Mazda sports car has an impressive list of quality modifications.
If you enjoy ‘90s sports cars, it’s hard not to love the third and final generation of the Mazda RX-7, known as the FD chassis. Everything about the vehicle is impressive, from its breathtaking looks to the notorious Rotary engine. This 1992 Mazda RX-7 has a quality list of modifications, making it a dream car for anyone who enjoys Japanese sports cars.
Driver Motorsports in Rustburg, Virginia offers this sweet RX-7 for sale. This right-hand-drive model was recently imported from Japan, but it is 100% legal in the United States with a valid Virginia title and all importation documents. The seller notes that this car is ready for the track, car shows, or even being daily driven.
The exterior on this RX-7 uses a host of parts from various automotive styling companies: Modifications include rear over fenders manufactured by BN Sports, a hood from tuner RE Amemiya, a front bumper from Japanese-based aero company Sexy Style, and last but not least, Mazdaspeed made the rear wing and side skirts. Additionally, the vehicle features a full set of Volk CE28 lightweight wheels, which look right at home on this aggressive Mazda.
There are a handful of changes inside the cabin, but it mostly retains the OEM theme. There are a handful of noticeable upgrades though, such as a Momo steering wheel, a Recaro driver’s seat, and a flocked dashboard.
Each FD RX-7 used the 13B-REW, a 1.3-liter twin-turbocharged twin-rotor engine. A 4-speed automatic transmission was available, but fortunately, this one uses a 5-speed manual transmission to drive the rear wheels. This example has a few minor modifications, such as an HKS intercooler, HKS intercooler piping, and a Fujitsubo exhaust.
