You’ll notice immediately that the engine for this classic muscle car is missing. It came with the top-of-the-line 400 cubic inch V8 with a 4 barrel carb and 400 automatic transmission. While that’s long gone, the empty space means you can drop in whatever donor or crate engine that will fit, so the options are fairly broad. The rear axle has a limited-slip differential, plus power brakes are included for the four wheels.

Yes, this car is a little rough around the edges, but with some elbow grease and knowledgeable work, it can ride gloriously down the street once more. Also, the title is reported as clear, so you shouldn’t have problems there. The front end is the worst part of the body, thanks to fire damage, but you can replace it easily enough. Originally the car was White, but it’s been repainted Lucerne Blue, although rush has cone through on the hood, front fenders, and in some other spots around the body.

The interior isn’t in much better shape, but all the pieces are present. You will need to repair or most likely replace the upholstery. Once complete, this car will look fantastic outside and in.

Pontiac launched the second generation of its popular Firebird lineup in 1970, making this car an important historic milepost for the Trans Am. Production for the 1970 Pontiac Trans Am reached 3,196 units. While this one isn’t in great condition, it’s complete with the exception of the powertrain, which is more than you can say for quite a few others. This opportunity comes via Restore A Muscle Car.
