This concoction of three separate cars took 6000 hours to build. As a combination of one ‘37 Chevy, a fourth-generation Corvette and first-generation Audi TT, this machine is one weird mix.
Although doubtful that anybody else ever considered dumping this group of cars into a blender, someone apparently did, and this is the result. Thousands of man hours resulted in this “French Deco-style Dream Car” which features a whole host of interesting quirks.
The Bella Elan Coupe somehow combines the look of a full-size Hot Wheels toy and fictional artdeco glamour. This is surely one of the most unique vehicles on sale today.
Power comes from a Chevrolet 5.7-liter LS1 mated to a conventional C5 automatic gearbox. Look inside and you’ll witness how the TT dashboard has been spliced into the mix, too.
Despite the use of Audi parts, the interior has also been heavily modified with wooden inlays and a custom set of instruments that add to the bespoke ambience. Some rather oddly placed rear speakers – with what appears to be lumps of wood screwed into them – allegedly completes the look.
Those with a well-trained eye will notice an array of wood accents from the running boards and sill protectors to beautifully veneered panels in the dashboard. This certainly was a labour of love for the original owner who kept it garaged. The car and engine have only covered 1800 miles, with the LS1 having been used for test benching purposes, thus shares the exceptionally low mileage.
Whilst wishing we could have a go in this exceptional vehicle, the vendor assures that it drives just like an LS1 Corvette thanks to the platform upon which is sits.
This weird and wonderful creation was recently re-listed on eBay, but with little time remaining could be quite a bargain.
