1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Is A Pony Car Masterpiece

One look at this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 and it becomes clear that the Mustang may have started the fight, but Chevy threw the final punch.

By 1969, Chevrolet had refined its prized response to Ford’s Mustang in a way that proved the GM pony car was a worthy competitor. More than 75-percent of all Camaros sold that year were V8-powered and almost 25-percent were the top-of-the-line Z/28 and SS models. Buyers had realized that they could get a better built, more powerful sports car for less. Even when comparing apples to apples the Z/28 was relatively equally balanced with the Boss 302 but cost quite a bit less.

Then there were looks. This is where things get a bit subjective but immaculate examples like this one being offered at Raleigh Classic Car Auctions’ upcoming event makes a good point for the classic F-Body. Finished in a shiny Blue paint with Black Rally Stripes and a black vinyl top, this is a true head turner. Well organized under the hood is a 280-horsepower 302-cid V8 engine mounted to a 4-speed manual transmission. Moving inside the cockpit, a black vinyl upholstery is in perfect condition and a matching dash and center console holds a full set of factory gauges and an AM/FM radio. Other features include power steering and power disc brakes.

This is an awesome opportunity to get behind the wheel of a stunning California car in excellent condition with only 94,263 actual miles on the clock. It is accompanied by its build sheet and a NCRS letter of authenticity. For show or for the open road, this Z/28 is up for the task.
